The course of Laboratory Technology is planned for students wanting to extend their skills and knowledge of laboratory science. You’ll learn a variety of lab techniques that will enable you to participate to wider scientific discovery. You’ll meet and can specialise in many industries. In this course, you will learn stronger practical skills and more practical laboratory experience.
Being a laboratory technician, you’ll be capable to conduct tests for pathologists, clinical chemists, biochemists, pharmacologists, microbiologists, veterinarians and bacteriologists. You’ll also be able to apply your knowledge of living systems to work toward resolving important issues, such as making the environment safer and controlling disease.
You will give technical support to medicine scientists working in research area, production and testing roles. In the supervision, you’ll get to inspect changes in cells and tissues, do chemical analyses of blood and other body fluids, and contribution with research.
